Go! Go! Curry! Opening New Branch at 231 Thompson Street

The lines stretched around the block during the 55-cent special that inaugurated Go! Go! Curry, a Japanese curry joint located in the West 30s, and it’s likely to happen again next week on March 15, when the restaurant expands to Greenwich Village, opening up at 231 Thompson Street (212-505-2555).

Once again, the eatery will be giving away 555 portions of a single-size curry for only 55 cents to celebrate the grand opening, a pretty sweet deal given that the curry — which is available in chicken cutlet, pork cutlet, shrimp, sausage, or a combo of all four — generally goes for $5.55 to $7.50. But even if you miss out on this deal, Go! Go! Curry! routinely offers other sweet perks, like getting a free topping for your curry on the 5th, 15th, or 25th day of the month, or you can get a free topping any day after Hideki “Godzilla” Matsui hits a home run.
