McDonald’s Nixes Fries From Dollar Menu, Spuds Lovers Bummed

There’s no question that the best choice on the McDonald’s Dollar Menu is the fries, but that’s no more. McDonald’s restaurants in the United States will be altering their value-priced menu items, swapping out small drinks and small fries for baked cookies and ice cream cones instead, Reuters reports.

Indeed, a glance at the Dollar Menu online reveals no spuds, only sweets, plus other items like the McChicken and McDouble. Additionally, on March 26, McDonald’s will modify its Extra Value Menu to include 20-piece chicken McNuggets, double cheeseburgers, chicken snack wraps, Angus snack wraps, medium iced coffees, and snack-sized McFlurries, plus up to four regional options. Still, for fry lovers, it’s a blow to the spud.
