Ever felt like your daily commute — that dark, pneumatic-like trip under the city via metallic cylinder, shared with a bunch of strangers of questionable sanity — seemed a little soulless?
If so, the MTA has some good news for you!
Transit officials will unveil a new, free app for Apple and Android devices tomorrow, which will “present MTA customers with more than 200 works of art installed throughout subway, LIRR and Metro-North stations,” the office said in a statement.
The program will reveal background info and photos about these installations, as well as “turn-by-turn” directions to the art in each station.
Photos of the design and download instructions will be released at the launch ceremony tomorrow afternoon, and we won’t have any more details until then. When we get them, we’ll be sure to give you an update.
This app costs $1.99.
