Five and a half years ago, Escort played their first show. Their debut single, the disco-reviving “Starlight,” had been tearing up DJ sets for the previous month or two, but they had been, up to that point, unable to assemble all 14 members on the same stage at the same time. “I spent most of that performance just cueing everyone else,” keyboardist Eugene Cho told the Voice. Tonight, a couple of months after releasing their debut, self-titled album, Escort is back to performing, bringing three new members and nine new songs to the Brooklyn Bowl, where Cho should finally be able to give his key parts the attention they deserve. With DJ sets provided by DFA.
