Skream and Benga

Now that Skrillex has Americans thinking they know what dubstep is, Croydon’s star pair is playing big mainstream venues rather than clubs. Skream has been responsible for some of the genre’s biggest tracks, including 2005’s weirdly catchy “Midnight Request Line,” while Benga turned dubstep personal with his Diary of an Afro Warrior. Jackmaster’s mixes combine the Hudson Mohawke type bass he’s released on his Numbers label with Detroit and Chicago classics. With Plastician and Hijak.
