Yes, Brooklyn counts as part of NYC, even if I came from its bowels.
And if you bother to explore the place, it has even more neighborhoods, crannies, grannies, weirdies, and diversity than Manhattan.
Well, The L Magazine did so in naming the 50 best blocks in that very borough.
Blocks in Red Hook, Bay Ridge, Crown Heights, Greenpoint, DUMBO, and Park Slope.
Blocks that are secret, secluded, scenic, or filled with Asian restaurants.
And they even include the negative, as in Best Example of Gentrified Ugliness.
That one happens to be in Williamsburg, but don’t dare go there! Your eyes will hurt!
Just click on the link and hit on the “1, 2, 3 … through 50” and learn it, people.
Brooklyn is the bestest.
I’m proud to be Mike of Bensonhurst.
