In their righteous new Guerrilla Girls’ Art Museum Activity Book, the feminist group (whose members dress up in ferocious gorilla costumes) offers a range of actions that everyone fed up with the lack of female artists in museums can do to create change (or, at least, annoy the hell out of the museum staff). “Don’t have millions to collect art and influence museums and art history?” the book asks. “Give do-it-yourself docent tours . . . and tell the real story of what’s in the museum and what’s not.” Simple enough. Hear more tips for influencing the art world by attending tonight’s multimedia performance and book-launch party. Can’t make it? The Guerrilla Girls will also be at Printed Matter (195 Tenth Avenue, 212-925-0325) on Saturday from 5 to 7.
