The veteran drummer builds an elliptical world on his new All Our Reasons, challenging his younger colleagues to meet his poetic flourishes on a playing field where drama is valued and whimsy always gets to speak its mind. Those colleagues—Bad Plus pianist Ethan Iverson, saxophonist Mark Turner, and bassist Ben Street—have been on Team Hart for several years now, and it shows: Their chemistry is obvious.
