The sun came up yesterday, which means one thing in Queens: someone got groped.
The borough, as we reported last week, currently is plagued by a serial groper who’s felt up at least four women since March 22 — and it appears he struck again yesterday.
Authorities won’t say whether the latest groping is related to the past cases, but the description of the suspect is similar. Not to mention, we’d be absolutely stunned if there were two serial gropers operating in Queens at the same time.
The latest attack happened about 5:45 a.m. yesterday as the 30-year-old victim was walking to her Sunnyside Gardens home from the 7 train. The victim told police the man grabbed her from behind and felt her up. During the groping, the suspect also punched her.
This is the second time in less than a year that Queens has been plagued by a serial pervert.
In August, another unidentified suspect was feeling up women in Jackson Heights, which is where many of the recent gropings occurred.
In the previous cases, the suspect had basically the same M.O. as the groper of today — he would walk up behind a woman, cop a quick feel, and scoot on out of there.
The victims have ranged in age from 19-47. The attacks typically happen at night, between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The groper is described as being between the ages of 17 and 25. He’s about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8.
Anyone with information about the groper is asked to call the New York City Police Department at 800-577-TIPPS.
