After leaving his former Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space) crew, Butler ditched Brooklyn for Seattle but held onto his penchant for head-bobbing beats, dense lyrics, and overlong titles. Peep Shabazz’s “Swerve . . . The Reaping of All That Is Worthwhile (Noir Not Understanding)” for all of the above, then catch them live at S.O.B’s at midnight.
