The buzz: We’ve been seeing ginger everywhere on the spring cocktail menus of bars throughout the city. The Wren uses the ingredient to great effect: Dark, rich Gosling’s rum is shaken with the spicy root and sour fresh cranberries for a spirited take on a Dark and Stormy, sometimes called Bermuda’s national drink. The whole thing is topped with a generous splash of Barritt’s mellow ginger beer, rounding out the drink’s Bermuda theme and creating spume at the top of the glass reminiscent of the sea.
