Year of The Takeout Day 106: A-Pou’s Taste

Corn Chowder from A-Pou’s Taste (Parked Today at Astor Place)

A-Pou’s Taste (which actually looks like A-Lou‘s taste on the logo, but whatevs) is no newcomer to the food-truck scene.

Indeed, this Taiwanese food cart has been slinging dumplings since at least the summer of 2010, and it has also expanded into other parts of Manhattan.

Today, Year of the Takeout settled on the $2 corn chowder, which does not disappoint. Creamy and thick, but without the briny tinniness of its clam brethren, this tiny tub is flavorful and filling for the price.
