Are Lunch Breaks Overrated?

Over at Slate, Rachael Levy discusses the virtues of a long, leisurely lunch, the kind she had while living in France. But her colleague Rachael Larimore DOES NOT AGREE.

In fact, Larimore thinks lunch breaks are totally overrated, eating into the precious time we might be spending with friends and family. She also reminds us that the work week in France is just 28 hours, so a two-hour lunch is basically necessary to fill up the working Frenchman’s day. Go ahead, weep into a plastic bento box in the privacy of your cubicle. It’ll make you feel better.
