You don’t have to go far to get your hands on straight-from-Louisiana crawfish.
It’s the second week of the Redhead’s annual crawfish boil. Every Sunday until May 13, $30 will get you two pounds of crawfish, sausage, corn, potato, and artichoke. There will also be New Orleans’s Abita Beers on tap.
“We sold out last week, and hopefully we’ll sell out more,” owner Meg Grace, chef-partner the East Village gastropub says. The 35-seat restaurant does not take reservations, but there’s a take-out option for those unwilling to wait it out.
The regular menu will not be served, and the event time is from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. “There’s supposed to be really pretty weather on Sunday, and so we’re expecting more people to come out for it,” Grace says. “The earlier they come the better.”
