Do calories really count? Is eating an art? What is the role of the ghostwriter on a celebrity’s cookbook? Find out the answers to these burning culinary questions and more at the first Food Book Fair, taking place this weekend at the soon-to-open Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. The three-day event will be filled with food writers, food enthusiasts, chefs, food activists, and the like in a mission to explore the latest in food innovation and conversation. Some of the guests include author and New York Times columnist Peter Kaminsky (speaking at “Food + Cooking + Change”), performance artist Jennifer Rubell (speaking at “Food + Art + Medium”), and author of Four Kitchens and former Voice food writer Lauren Shockey (speaking at “Food + Studies”), among many others.
