After almost 60 years of iconoclastic action we know that Taylor’s wobbly rail is plenty strong, and hermetic or not, his personal piano language is as eloquent as it is fierce. Supple, too: Joyous gentility counterpoints aggression across his solo pieces, and these two one-man recitals will likely spotlight the agility with which he weaves between both poles. Prepare thyself to deal with an 83-year-old badass.
