These L.A. dance-rock dudes are of course best known for “Pumped Up Kicks,” the creepy-catchy 2011 hit that seemed to pave the way for Gotye and fun.’s eventual Hot 100 takeover. But Foster the People’s debut, Torches, is deeper than the single, and live the band stretches out it elastic grooves to ecstatic lengths. With U.K. garage guys the Kooks and Kimbra, the female counterpart on “Somebody That I Used to Know.”
