Sweden’s Nasum rose to prominence in the early 2000s, as their Tasmanian Devil-like approach to grindcore helped revive the then-fading genre. Just as they were getting widespread attention, though, vocalist-guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk died when his vacation to Thailand was interrupted by the Asian tsunami that struck in 2004. Now, to celebrate the frontman’s legacy and the group’s 20th anniversary, Talarczyk’s bandmates have reunited for a one-off tour, with Rotten Sound singer Keijo Ninimaa handling the vocals.
