Bobby Womack

From the ’60s to the ’80s, soul legend Bobby Womack played guitar for Sam Cooke, wrote what became the Rolling Stones’ first hit and released singles like “Lookin’ for a Love” and “Woman’s Gotta Have It” that charted in the R&B Top 10. During that time, describing him as “prolific” would be an understatement. Earlier this year, he put out his first LP of originals in 13 years, The Bravest Man in the Universe, which features duets with Lana Del Ray and Gil Scott Heron, and tonight, he celebrates his return.
