Fishbone

Last year, for the first time in about two decades, funk-punk-ska fusionists Fishbone returned to the headlines, with the Roots’ Questlove choosing their song “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” as the intro music for then-GOP candidate Michele Bachmann’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon appearance. The heat fell on Questlove, but the positive side to the story is that it got the ever-dynamic brass-section-toting party animals back in the public consciousness. They might not have released a new album since 2006, but they haven’t let their live shows slip.
