China Max apparently has an answer to this question.
Like poultry hush puppies, these starchy, mealy spheres maintain a vaguely fishy vibe.
Though mashed, shaped, and filled with plentiful bread product, they miraculously remain meaty and moist, and wind up being a bit hard to resist when dipped in chili sauce.
The balls plus two other entrees cost $8.70.
FYI: The veggies and chicken with broc are executed quite skilfully, considering they have been simmering on a steam table all day.
