You won’t hear Ronnie Spector sing “Be My Baby” or “Baby I Love You” at tonight’s performance of “Beyond the Beehive,” as her ex-husband Phil has banned her from performing them in a theatrical context. Regardless, Spector has put together a show that includes stories of Phil’s tyranny, Ronnie’s post-Phil renaissance, and various moments from the rest of her career. The good news is she’s allowed to perform a bevy of other hits, including “Walking in the Rain” and Billy Joel’s “Say Goodbye to Hollywood.”
