No jazz lover should miss this no-tricks singer try her hand at a standard or three, and if the woman herself doesn’t seal the deal, the backing band surely will: Tedd Firth’s on piano, Bucky Pizzarelli’s on guitar, Warren Vache’s on cornet, and Jay Leonhart’s on bass. In other words, this is top-of-the-line music-making, and in the afternoon, no less.
