Drink the City: Honoring the Drinks That Make Up New York’s History

Sure, it might be the beginning of the week, but it’s never too early to go out and grab a drink . . . especially when there’s some sort of historical context attached to the cocktails.

There will be a night of cocktails honoring Robin Shulman’s new book, Eat the City, August 7 at 8 p.m. The event will be held at Parish Hall and will feature the drinks and drinkers who make up New York’s history, and the distillers, brewers, and winemakers who keep the tradition alive.

Old-fashioned cocktails mentioned in the book will be served, including a drink made of Brooklyn-produced rum, Bronx sugarcane, and Manhattan mint.
