The menu items are salmorejo with octopus and olive oil merengue, octopus meatball with vegetables balls, golden egg with octopus, chorizo and potato, black rice with octopus, and saffron cream with milk-boiled octopus.
BLT Fish will be holding an August 11 cooking class with executive chef Amy Eubanks. Students will learn the fundamentals of cooking fish, from salmon to branzino. The class starts at 11 a.m. and will last two hours. The cost is $100 per person.
Local Roots CSA will be organizing a fresh pasta-making class on Sunday, August 12. Students will learn how to make fresh pasta from start to finish, from mixing and kneading the dough by hand to rolling and cutting it for fettuccine, tagliatelle, and pappardelle. Each student will take home at least one ball of pasta dough to cook at home. Two sessions are offered, at noon and 5 p.m., and tickets are available here. This event is sponsored by Spicy ‘n Sweet, who are offering a discount on their pasta sauces for students of the class.
