Does Not Being On Facebook Mean You’re A Psycho?

I used to think you’d have to be psychotic to waste your time on Facebook, but now I’m so hooked on it, it almost feels like you’d have to be mentally ill to not be on it.

And some media agree.

In fact, as this blog points out:

A German magazine took pains to note that Dark Knight killer James Holmes and Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik were both not on Facebook. reports that human resources departments are becoming more wary of young job candidates who don’t use Facebook.

(They’re afraid that a lack of a Facebook page might mean it was deleted because of unsocial types of behavior.)

And Slate wrote that young people shouldn’t date anyone not on Facebook because they could be abnormal, dysfunctional, or disconnected.

Let’s face it: The vehemence with which some people screech “I will not join Facebook!” makes you sometimes wonder about their mental health and their ability to play calmly with the other kids.

Then again I screamed that myself for years.

No, bad example.
