Bacon Maple Syrup From Smucker’s

There has been a lot of bacon-flavored sweets going around in the past couple of months. For one, there’s New York’s first bacon bakery and then this thing they called the bacon sundae.

Has the bacon trend been overdone?

Smucker’s has jumped on the bacon bandwagon and recently released its own line of bacon syrup. It’s called Maple Bacon Syrup.

From the website: “Bring fresh excitement to the day with the NEW Smuckers® Maple Bacon flavored syrup, a unique combination of two popular breakfast flavors. When you include Smucker’s in your menu, you are serving a brand with 100 years of family-made goodness and a brand people prefer in their homes.”

We’re not really sure where the bacon flavor is from, though. According to the packaging, the product is made of corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, water, natural and artificial flavor, salt, and caramel color.

Probably somewhere in between the natural and artificial flavor?
