Le Fooding Has Big Plans for Brooklyn

Jaguar (yes, the car brand) is hosting a snow-globe/ice-skating/free food-truck event starting today, August 16 to August 18 under the Highline.

Called Chill NY, the event will host a life-size snow globe with a ice rink inside (skates included).

Two-time Olympian and World Bronze Medalist figure skater Johnny Weir and former NY Rangers Chris and Peter Ferraro will also be in attendance for meet and greets (Johnny on Friday and the Ferraro brothers on Saturday) along with 30 Rock stars Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski, who will open the event today.

There’s a lot of enticing measures here, but our favorite has to be the free food.

The free food trucks on site will be giving out winter-friendly treats, including snow cones, ice cream, iced coffee, Popsicles, and frozen hot cocoa.

Here’s the lineup: Milk Truck, Van Leeuwen, People’s Pops, Mudtruck, Coolhaus, and Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Event days and times:

Thursday, 8/16: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, 8/17: Noon to 8 p.m.
Saturday, 8/18: Noon to 5 p.m.
