Etsy, the online, DIY shopping arena devoted to supporting small, local vendors, goes 3-D tonight with its Craft Party, a global celebration of crafts and community held simultaneously in cities around the world. At our own Etsy Brooklyn Craft Party, you can listen to live music by Raya Brass Band, eat food-truck goodies, and partake in a variety of craft projects. Artist Ed Roth will be on hand to teach a New York–themed stencil project with patterns from his new book, Stencil Style 101, and Brooklyn-based artist Aya Rosen of LoucheLab will lead a glass-painting lesson called “Message in a Bottle” (guests should bring their own bottle to participate). Folks from Viva Snail Mail! will teach a mixed-media postcard project. Happy crafting!
