The rumors are true.
Daniel Humm, the chef at Eleven Madison Park has confirmed with The New York Times that the restaurant will be swapping places with three-Michelin-starred and Chicago-based restaurant Alinea for five days.
From the Times:
For five days in September, dinner customers at Eleven Madison Park will be treated to a meal that would normally be served at Alinea. Then, from October 10 through 14, dinner patrons at Alinea will get five days of Eleven Madison Park’s cuisine.
Tickets will cost $495 per person plus tax and a 20 percent service charge. Wine pairings are included in the price.
“Here’s my restaurant, take it for a week'” Humm told the Times. “You’ve got to be pretty close to do that.”
