Churros with chocolate, $6, dish #42
Jesús Manso’s teeny churro bar serves long, curvy, barely sweet sticks of fried dough, lightly dusted with sugar. They’re crisp on the outside and satisfyingly chewy in the middle, and they arrive hot from the fryer but never greasy. These churros are alright on their own, but dipped in a side of dark, almost sludgy hot chocolate as the rain falls on Mulberry Street, they’re fantastic.
