Cambodian sandwich shop Num Pang is launching a limited-edition sandwich with proceeds benefitting a 9/11 charity.
The sandwich launch is part of the eatery’s “Chefs Give Back” series: A celebrity chef contributes a sandwich, and proceeds go to charity. This time, Num Pang is working with winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters Season 3, Floyd Cardoz.
The new sandwich is called the Cardoz Pang, and it features black pepper lamb braised in yogurt and spices like cloves, green cardamom, coriander, and ginger on a toasted semolina baguette with chile yogurt, pickled red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, fresh cilantro, and mint.
As with previous collaborations, $6 from each sale (the sandwich is $9.25) will be shared between two charities personally selected by the chefs. Floyd chose The Young Scientist Foundation and Num Pang chose Tuesday’s Children, an organization providing support and services for children of 9/11.
The sandwich is available from September 12 to October 12.
