‘Deep Space’ w/ Kode9+Appleblim


Two of dubstep’s more unusual producers join resident depths-plunderer Francois K. Alongside his Skull Disco cofounder Shackleton, Appleblim integrated techno and experimentalism into a genre that had threatened to collapse into the soundtrack for fist-pumping, foot-stomping Brit bros. Their Soundboy comps remain treasuries of fresh ideas. Bass theorist Kode9’s Hyperdub label gave us Burial, Laurel Halo, and more, including his own aural science fiction.
