Ah, CMJ, the music festival that charges a hefty $325 to $549 for a badge. But if you can’t afford one, not to worry. Tonight, the best offering—booked by outsider blog Ad Hoc—is unofficial, meaning that the badge won’t help you get inside the 285 Kent doors. There you will find Le1f, DJ/producer Physical Therapy, “Nas Gave Me a Perm” rapper Mykki Blanco, Estonian bedroom-house artist Maria Minerva, and exoticist shoegaze duo Prince Rama. If that’s not fun, you can head to Irving Plaza to see Rich Kidz and Jasmine Solano open for Mystikal and Silkk the Shocker.
