NYPD Searching for Man Accused of Abusing 10-Year-Old in Queens Library


The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who sexually abused a 10-year-old girl yesterday inside of a Queens Borough Public Library.

The incident happened after around 4:00 p.m. yesterday in the Forest Hills, Queens, a neighborhood in the 107th precinct. Authorities don’t have many details on the crime, but told the Voice that the girl, an African-American visiting the library after school hours, was groped and fondled.

So far, all police have is a sketch of the suspect, who they say is a Hispanic male, 25-30 years old and just under six feet tall. According to witnesses, the man weighs about 200 pounds, with a light complexion and slick, dark hair pulled back and knotted in a bun.
