It would have seemed unthinkable some years ago, but Newsweek will not be a print magazine after December 31.
Things have gotten extra competitive and challenging, and circulation and advertising are way down, so editor Tina Brown has announced that you won’t be able to pick up and flip through Newsweek anymore.
But you can’t really say that the 80-year-old classic has passed on.
They will continue it as a digital, subscription-based publication, and some of the articles will also appear on its sister site, Daily Beast.
Oh, good, but I must say I feel as if something within me just died.
