The former New York Times restaurant critic, and current national editor, has parlayed his experiences manning the paper’s Thanksgiving Tip Line into a definitive cookbook on the holiday. The how-to guide, published by Random House, promises to take readers from “the planning of the meal to the washing of the last plate” and offers a few suggestions for crafting a great Friday turkey sandwich.
Sifton, who has never shied away from definitive statements, suggests that the book will help ease the headache that is America’s family holiday. And for those who are still skeptical that there is no such thing as a stress-free Thanksgiving, Sifton dedicates a full chapter to turkey-friendly cocktails.
