Two neighborhoods are celebrating the best cuisine they have to offer this weekend. Indulge uptown or downtown, with Moroccan or Mexican, but either way, East Harlem and the East Village will satisfy your appetite.
The inaugural East Harlem Harvest Festival will kick off tonight, but the festivities will continue Saturday starting at noon. Catch a three-block party near East 115th Street and Park Avenue. Drink some local beer from the Harlem Brewing Company and try bites from more than 20 food vendors.
Fourth Arts Block will host its annual East Village Tasting Tour on Saturday afternoon. Expect snacks from Hecho + Dumbo, Currywurst, Veselka, Jum Mum, and Spot Dessert Bar. Drink specials are on tap at Idle Hands Bar, Aroma Kitchen and Wine Bar, and Jimmy’s No. 43 from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and can be bought here.
