At the wedding of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, a video was shown of various homeless people wishing the happy couple their congratulations, as I’m sure you’ve heard.
It was shot by a friend, L.A. real estate agent Justin Huchel, so the Timberlakes quite possibly had nothing to do with the vid except for watching it and presumably enjoying it.
But the Twitterati are in an absolute tizzy over the appalling nature of rich people sitting around some expensive event and making fun of the homeless folks that one of them accosted for a gag.
Yeah, I agree the whole thing was in bad taste–but I often like things that are in bad taste.
And no one forced the homeless people to take part in the video.
Maybe they were tickled to be asked.
(Even better, maybe Huchel paid them.)
If I were ever homeless–and Lord knows I seem to be heading there–I’d be thrilled to still be getting requests to appear on camera.
But that’s just me.
Some of them want to wish Justin bye, bye, bye.
