The already rescheduled pickle party was supposed to take place on Saturday. But pickle lovers will have to just enjoy the green delights at home.
The Lower East Side BID said:
“The loss of power, combined with spotty cell phone service in the area, makes for less than desirable circumstances to execute a three-block event. It’s definitely a shame because we were certainly looking forward to this neighborhood celebration, but right now residents and business owners are going to be focused on getting everything back in businesses, which makes perfect sense.
Once this Sandy dust settles, and we can all get back to work, we ideally would like to plan some sort of recovery and perhaps pickle-inspired event for the neighborhood.”
