Better than a trip to the sushi bar — or maybe not.
Demeter Fragrances, the outfit that brought you perfumes with the odor of Dirt, Baby Powder, Clean Windows, Funeral Home, and Egg Nog (I have the Dirt, and used to use it to disguise the smell of pot in my luggage), has come up with another doozy: sushi.
The company promises it will not smell like raw fish, or to be more precise, rotting raw fish. As quoted by the San Francisco Chronicle, Demeter promises “the fresh scent of just cooked sticky rice and straight from the seaside seaweed, laced with hints of ginger and lemon essences. Simply delectable.”
Some of the other evocative food flavors the company has turned out include:
Popcorn
Rye Bread
Whiskey Tobacco
Mushroom
Bourbon
Lobster
Fiery Curry
Gin & Tonic
When you have the entire collection, you can mix and match to smell like a deli — or a cocktail lounge.
