Watch Saturday Night Live’s Unaired Guy Fieri Sketch

by

Last week was a big one for Guy Fieri. After receiving a bitingly insulting review from The New York Times critic Pete Wells, the flame-shirt wearing chef continued to garner responses from us, and other news outlets. Timing seeming perfect for Saturday Night Live cast member Bobby Moynihan to reprise his Fieri impression. While no such sketch made it on the Saturday evening’s show, Moynihan shot a Weekend Update segment during the dress rehearsal. Watch it after the jump.

The faux-Fieri, who appears to be reading his review for the first time, tells Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers that he feels sick over the review: “Keep in mind all I eat is bacon bombs — which is bacon wrapped in dynamite.” In character, Moynihan notes that he never expected his restaurant to appeal to the sophisticated tastes of the Times recognizing that his overall images “screams look out — a maniac is about to hit you with a face full of donkey sauce.”

We can’t imagine the real Guy stating it any better. [via Eater]
