In the wake of the hurricane, Bruce Springsteen and friends pulled together a fundraiser that was epic and badass and chock full of nostalgia for the pre–Jersey Shore era Jersey Shore. But with all due respect to the Boss, now we could use a laugh. Thankfully, the all-stars of indie comedy are here to deliver. Tell Your Friends! A Concert Film! features performances and interviews with underground (more like formerly underground) New York scensters such as Reggie Watts and Kristen Schaal. Tonight’s all-night-long release party will be held on location at the Bell House and hosted by the film’s own Liam McEneaney, featuring a lineup of guests including The Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac. Folk duo A Brief View of the Hudson will provide the tunes, and proceeds will go toward continued Sandy recovery efforts.
