Presented by the Desk Set, a group of local librarians, archivists, and bibliophiles, the ball is the best annual dance party for all the most stylish bookworms in town. Dance with your fellow four-eyed friends to the sounds of the Lucky Chops Brass Band and Los Encantados, say “Dostoevsky” for the photographer in the photo booth, show off your wit in the interactive postcard-writing installation, and enter the raffle to raise money for libraries devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Literacy for Incarcerated Teens.
