Nicole Kidman Will Talk About Bodily Fluids, But Not Scientology

While being interviewed for The Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Kidman was told that a recent issue of the same publication featured an excerpt from Going Clear, the book in which Scientology is blamed for her divorce from Tom Cruise.

“I’ll bet it is,” she says before quickly looking at something else in the issue. “My eye is going to a dress here–that’s how interested I am in this.”

Ooh. Snap.

Nicole elaborates, “I’ve chosen not to speak publicly about Scientology. I have two children who are Scientologists–Connor and Isabella–and I utterly respect their beliefs.”

Well, while Nicole won’t pee on Scientology, she had no problem doing so to Zac Efron, at least in that infamous Paperboy scene.

Says the actress, “I just don’t find urination shocking. I think I peed in the beginning of Eyes Wide Shut, too. But then, I don’t find a lot of things shocking. Violence is a lot more shocking than sex–sex is primal.” [Let me interject here that the urination wasn’t a sexual act–not overtly anyway. She did it because Efron’s character was stung by a jellyfish. Anyone who found it sexy is quite a visionary.]

As for that film’s gay director, Lee Daniels, “Lee had an obsession about shooting me from behind–he was obsessed with my ass! To me, that was so funny–he’s hilarious, I love him. I’m drawn to Lee for his wild nature. I felt shy singing in Moulin Rouge–but peeing? No, not shy.”

And I utterly respect her belief in that.

As for her country tinkler, er, warbler husband? “We never interfere in the other’s career choices.” That’s for sure.
