Ever consider becoming a vegan and then decide against it because of all the delicious food you would have to give up? Like cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and seemingly every baked good out there? If so, get ready to look at sweets in a whole new way at the first annual Vegan Bake-Off Dessert Competition, presented by local website the skint. A $12 ticket gets you tasty samples from the 15 to 20 contestants and voting rights for the People’s Choice winners. There will also be three hungry judges on hand: Vegetarian Food Festival organizer Sarah Gross, Chef Adam Sobel, and vegan comedian Myq Kaplan.
