Taste of Greenwich House
The 11th annual Taste of Greenwich House, a fundraiser that supports all programming at the social services and arts non-profit, will take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Chef Anita Lo of Annisa will be the featured VIP chef and will sign complimentary copies of her new cookbook. Other participating restaurants include Hill Country Kitchen, Good, dell’anima, The Little Owl, and Veselka. Wine 101 at Terroir Murray Hill
The first of a six-part wine tasting series will begin on Tuesday. Each class will focus on a different wine, and for $28 guests will spend an hour each week learning from Paul Grieco. The first class will give a rundown of the basics, and the following Tuesdays will feature Chardonnay, Riesling, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Good Food Ireland at Dean & Deluca Soho
Good Food Ireland‘s ambassador chef Maurice Keller will give free demos and tastings of several Irish products like Ditty’s Irish oatcakes, Burren smoked Irish salmon, and a selection of Irish farm cheeses at Dean & Deluca‘s Soho store from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Chef and cookbook author Clodagh McKenna will be available to sign copies of her book Clodagh’s Kitchen Diaries. 560 Broadway
How To: Sell at Brooklyn Brewery
Edible Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Brewery will host “How To: Sell,” a day of lectures and discussions geared toward entrepreneurs who may be the next artisan mastermind. Talks will focus on how to sell a product in stores, online, and at local markets. Folks from Saucy by Nature, Sweet Deliverance, and the Salty Road will be in attendance, as will free samples. Harmony Cafe Kitchen will forgo green Guinness and shamrocks on St. Patrick’s Day and instead will host a “Vegan Potluck(palooza)” at 9 Bleecker, which houses the Yippie Museum. Register to bring a homemade vegan dish for 8 to 12 people. Signing up costs $7 but there will be prizes awarded for originality and spice.
