Beloved Coney Island pizza parlor and New York institution, Totonno’s, which had been closed since Hurricane Sandy hit the neighborhood, is back in business, reports Grub Street. As soon as we heard the news, we called the restaurant to hear its delightful voice mail message, recorded yesterday:
Today is Sunday, March 24th, Palm Sunday, and we hope that you are happy to hear, ’cause we’re very happy to tell you, that we’re opening Totonno’s today. Our normal business hours, noon to 8 p.m. We hope that you are well. We love you.
We love you too, Totonno’s. Welcome back! [GS]
