Andrew W.K. Recruited for Ramones Cover Band Featuring an Actual Ramone

In hard partying news, Andrew W.K. has been tapped by the last remaining Ramone to provide lead vocals in Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg – a Ramones cover band – on their upcoming world tour.

Formerly led by Misfits’ singer Michael Graves, Blitzkrieg has been carrying the torch of the Ramones’ punk legacy by performing sets jam-packed with around 30 pogo-friendly songs from the band’s songbook.

According to a statement from the drummer, he was initially drawn to W.K. as a lead singer thanks to Andrew’s “party philosophy, which has also always been my exact take on life.”
