Nick Fauchald Turns to Kickstarter to Fund Small-Format Cookbooks

by

Tasting Table‘s former editor-in-chief, Nick Fauchald, turned to funded through Kickstarter to fund his new project, Short Stack, “a series of small-format cookbooks about inspiring ingredients, authored by America’s top culinary talents.” According to Fauchald’s description, these books will combine the personal connection of cookbooks with periodical quality of food magazines. The first three editions will focus on eggs, strawberries and tomatoes.

The first run will produce 1,500 handmade copies of each book, and recipes in the book have been tested (and sometimes created) by well-known chefs and food writers like Soa Davies of Le Bernadin and Susan Spunger of Martha Stewart Living. Fauchald hopes to raise $50,000 for this endeavor.

He’ll also pull in a former co-worker to help out: Tasting Table national editor Kaitlyn Goalen recently announced she would be leaving the company to “pursue new adventures,” one of which includes Fauchald’s project.
